A short film entitled "YOUNG ALIEN", starring Agrupado Frank Fernandez, and written and directed by me (Pepe Acosta), has won First Prize at the 1996 Decatur Arts Alliance Film Festival.

The film deals with growing up Cuban-American in the US in the 1970s, and raises issues of race, religion, and the generation gap. It was warmly recieved on its premiere last September.
